TRIBUTE TO ZORHA MOOSA JOGEE

For 11 years, Zohra Jogee brought joy and sweetness to those in Northern Free State Caregivers                   Organisation, as well as the community in Kroonstad.

In the organisation we’ve experienced Zohra as an amazing lady! She was always kind and willing to             help with our general projects and fundraising projects. She refers patients to us for assistance to help them with medical equipment from our loan bank such as walking frames, wheelchairs, etc.

Zohra participates in community projects which consists of Mandela Day Activities; Soup Kitchens in           Snake Park (very poor township in Maokeng); outreach to an old age home in Maokeng; packing of                                                             monthly food parcels and Clothing Drives.

Zohra and her friends always participate during our yearly health walks.

She was a board member of our organisation in the portfolio of the Patient Co-Ordinator of the Indian Community.

She was a unique person, always smiling - giving advice for people who she might came across on her daily routine to inspire them. She was a “hugging”-kind of person and well loved by community members.

She was giving talks re. the Muslim community and they way of living -  building bridges in this way in Kroonstad’s community.  Zohra was always a well-dressed lady. She loved bright colours which remind one of a bunch of flowers!

She was also talking about her children and grandchildren’s achievements. Zohra was very proud of her family. Her caring instincts helped many cancer patients during their last days of suffering.

As the secretary of the Northern Free State Caregivers (Cathy Lubbe) I also want to share my tribute to Zohra because I asked her to join as a volunteer at the previous Northern Free State Cancer Association where I was the Regional Manager – it was 17 years ago! She was also a board member. When the Cancer Association office closed down in Kroonstad, she then decided to join the Northern Free State Caregivers like myself to go on with community work.

Zohra was someone so special and can never be forgotten!

May Allah grant Zohra the highest stages in Jannah. In Shaa Allah.

Hierdie maand was dit vir       my persoonlik ‘n baie moeilike maand. (Dankie vir my span: sr. Marcia – rus in vrede, ek gaan jou baie mis! - Felicity
